I was wondering if you could be more insulting and derogatory toward Occupy Lansing? You didn’t talk like this about teabaggers. I guess you don’t have a problem with protestors backed up by lobbyists. Your comments are just ridiculous. I eat lunch in the park every spring, summer and fall, and no homeless people live there. You need to get out of the Boji a little more often.

I couldn't finish listening to his lies. He is making up statistics that do not exist. I have a friend in Wisconsin that pays the same for his 10 year old car that I do for my 1 year old car.

The "Backstop" of Medicare & Medicaid is a joke. My son was in a motorcycle accident with NO Auto involved, hence no No Fault Coverage. He is 21 now and on Medicare and Medicaid, he doesn't get the needed therapies. It took over a year to get him his own wheelchair and by the time it arrived it isn't the right chair for him. We have to wait 4 more years before he can get a new chair.
WHO funds Medicare and Medicaid??? TAX Payers! You may not be out on the street corner with a cup but with the current No Fault you will get the needed therapy and equiptment to be able to return to a productive life. Medicare and Medicaid are barely holding their head above water now if this bill passes it will be devastating.
My son's story is on www.carepages.com search andrewstevenbos or the readers digest version is on Youtube search: "Andrew's Journey from April"
Pete K has not walked in our shoes. We need to look out for what is best for the people pf Michigan not the Insurance Indrustries.

I love the way he keeps saying "hopefully the person has other health insurance". Don't they realize that if a single person becomes a quad he probably won't be going back to work anytime soon and Medicare doesn't kick in until after 2 years! This is so frustrating!

Pete K. is full of it. If the aveage claim is only $36,000 why is there a need for changing the benefit limit then? If all they need is medical cost restraints why not just adopt a bill that puts claims to be paid at the Worker's Comp levels? Instead they are totally dismantling our No-fault system as we know it. This man is all for the insurance companies and couldn't care less about those who get catastrophically injured.

Obviously those that want to limit payout to car accident victims have not been in one nor have had a loved one suffer. Let me tell you, it can happen to anyone. I was minding my own business and was hit head on at 95 miles an hour while at a complete stop. It is fortunate that my children weren't injured. I, unfortunately, was not so lucky. Four and a half years ago, my life was changed forever. I have one functioning limb, the other three have needed multiple surgeries. I will never be able to interact with and take care of my children the way I should be able to. I will never walk long distances. I will never be out of pain. I will always be needing the next surgery.... so far I have had 39, number 40 is scheduled next month. There should be no limits on what is paid out for accident victims. It is why we carry insurance, isn't it?

Not all drug users are non-violent, and making it legal is certainly not going to solve the issues at hand. Making it legal makes it easier for our children to access and easier for them to think it is okay to be doing it.

Bill Schutte is dangerous. He needs to have his agenda extinguished. He is not a good guy. He is not out for the public good, he is out to keep pot illegal as the money chain for government, jails, courts all suffer with less prosecutions and all the hush money from illegal operations. Legalizing pot would put many in the legal profession and in the courts out of a job, not to mention the profits in the jails. We need to put an end to typical Corporate America governing, and oust liars like Bill Schutte. Support a recall petition when it circulates. And please, do research when voting, don't check off the name you recognize or has a catchy commercial. KNOW WHO you are voting for.!!! This guy is a disgusting creep wasting taxpayers money on his hidden agendas

maybe we should ask schutte and associates if they take prescription drugs with warnings, ask them if they drink at political parties, or parties in general. I guarantee they do and are in violation of the law...I believe 98 percent are violation

These idiots need to realize that the same amount of grass will be bought and sold whether it is legal or not. They need to tax the growers instead of trying to prevent access. All they will do is keep filling our jails with non-violent drug offendors. Why do they not chase meth farms? Heroin dealers? This is so ridiculous.....they are only mad because they lost fine revenue, that is why the state should just tax the growers and everybody wins. Except the asshole cops that think they need to chase potheads for something to do...

Schuette claims to support legitimate patients right to have their medicine, but the changes he proposed would deny those same patients access on a practical level by closing down dispensaries. The law is fine as it stands. If anything it is providing the meds we need and a small cottage industry for one of the most economically deprived states.
They do not mention that there are not enough caregivers to provide one caregiver for every patients or even 5 patients. How are the patients supposed to get connected with a GOOD caregiver who has the variety of meds that are effective for them? Currently patients can shop around the different dispensaries, that all get their meds from the extras that most caregivers have beyond what they give to their patients. They can try different strengths and types which vary widely, some will work, some will not be as effective for their condition. All meds are not the same. If we are restricted to one caregiver, if you can even find one in your area, then many patients will be forced to go back to the "streets" to find what they need. This law was supposed to eliminate the need for street level dealers and keep it all legit and safe for the patients like in a pharmacy. Schuette is a hypocrite (former smoker) and is more interested in making a name for himself to further his own career than in doing his job, which is enforcing the law AS PASSED BY THE CITIZENS OF MICHIGAN, not changing what they voted for into something that would not function for the sick. I do not have time and energy to find a new caregiver that I don't know and then I am going to trust them to provide all my medical needs....no way....no other legit medicine/therapy would ever be provided this way. The law still wants to treat us like criminals whenever possible, even though the 63% of the voters said we are not criminals. Does Schuette respect the voters and standing laws of Michigan or not?
If Schuette wants to stop the current set up for us to get our meds then the state should provide a viable alternative system, not just clamp down on what is working so well now. making it harder for sick people to get their meds is not what a PUBLIC SERVANT is sworn to do.
If this goes through then I predict there will be a lot of innocent patients going to jail for trying to find relief for their sickness....impeach Schuette...what an ASS.

Lies, Tales and Exaggerations, that could be Shuettes new campaign slogan. I do agree with a few of the things you covered but it also relates to Prescription Drugs and Alcohol, sorry Bill we have to go after all of it not just "weed". As a young voter you disgust me with the stories you and you so called friends have to share to try and scare people. I do agree people do not need to medicate and drive but this is a huge issue with prescription drug takers alike. When your bottle says do not operate heavy machinery that means a car, truck etc.... There are so many BIG Issues in this state, but if you insist on going after medical users and want to lay blame to them, look in the mirror sir, The Childrens Safety Starts at home with good parenting, kids will never get marijuana from a dispensary, but they will get some of your Zantex, Vicoden, Viagra, and what ever else you have in your home, that includes that Johnny Walker Blue Label Scotch Also.
